I can go over all the side walks, take short cuts through parks, not have to worry about the gas tank, or where I parked it. The only down side to driving a city vehicle is that you're not allowed to touch your phone- period.
You're not allowed to look at it while you're driving (obviously), but you're not allowed to check it at stop lights or call and keep it on speaker- nothing.
I understand it, because obviously if you get in a wreck using a city vehicle because you were being a negligent driver then you are in some serious trouble and will probably be fired. But, today, I was driving and my phone literally would not stop vibrating for ten minutes because I was receiving so many text messages.
The group chat was not that exciting and once I was able to check it, I kind of got annoyed with it, BUT- the suspense of not knowing what was going on while I was driving was unbearable.
This post is hilarious. LOVE the picture. Is the car dangerous? Seems like one could be smashed easily!!! It is efficient which I appreciate. I'm pretty good about not using my phone while driving-I definitely don't text, rarely even at stop lights. Not receiving or making calls is tough though. I also would enjoy driving a company owned-vehicle. I have been able to do it once before, and even kept it at my home on evenings and weekends. I had to pay for gas, but it was an ideal situation. Hope you keep having fun with it!

But I agree with you sometimes it is hard when your phone keeps going off and you keep thinking what is going on?! haha well it is awesome you got to drive a vehicle and not have to worry about maintaining it!

Now, I am not that familiar with this, but are you getting updates while you are in the car? Is that what you are referring to? I can imagine how distracting that must be, especially since you are probably driving on the sidewalk! lol
